Megan Krolik grew up on the beaches and in the sugarcane fields of Queensland, Australia, cementing early on a love for all things hot and tropical. Megan has since spent many years working as a humanitarian aid worker on remote islands in the Pacific and deep in the jungles of Asia, these beautiful and intriguing places inspiring many of Megan’s fictional adventures.

Megan has written three novels, as well as a non-fiction coffee-table book for the Women Inspired: Sunshine Coast project. In 2021 she won a place in the Queensland Writer’s Centre Scriptable program with her television screenplay I Won the Pineapple, and she has written and directed two plays with BATS Theatre Company Inc.

Megan has two master’s degrees in international development and emergency management and has published several journal articles, field guides and policy papers. She currently works for the world’s largest humanitarian network by day and writes funny love stories by night.
