A.K. Leigh is a multi-published hybrid romance and non-fiction author, emerging trauma expert, identical triplet, and complex trauma survivor. Her PhD research identified and defined the post-trauma romance (PTR) subgenre, making her the world’s leading expert on this subgenre, along with several innovative and new trauma theories. The Love Healer, written as part of her thesis, is an example of the PTR subgenre.

She also holds a Masters degree in writing which resulted in the independent publication of her best-selling non-fiction title, The Romance Novel Formula.
